Stephen Fleming
Pastor-Teacher

Steve was born and raised in a missionary home in Paraguay.  At six years old, his family returned home to New Zealand.  While Steve was attending a Bible conference as a teenager, the truths he had been taught throughout his life brought conviction and faith to life.  The powerful work of God’s Word convinced Steve of its importance in the life of God’s children and His church, and caused him to lead bible studies, be involved in evangelism,  and occasionally preach. In 2005 Steve married his wife Jessica (Wragg), and the desire to be trained for full-time service in the church continued to stir deeply in his heart. As a result, in 2007, after 10 years of being in business, the Flemings moved from New Zealand, to Jupiter, FL to attend The Expositors Seminary (M.Div., 2013).  During seminary, at Grace Immanuel Bible Church, Steve served as a deacon and was used by God in teaching and discipleship.  God has graciously blessed Steve and Jessica with three sons and one daughter.

Steve's ministry objectives are as follows:
  • To faithfully preach Christ and Him crucified by accurately handling the scriptures (1 Cor 1:23, 2:2: Gal 6:14, 2 Tim 4:2, 2:15). In essence this means humbly submitting myself to the authority of God's word, above my own opinions (1 Thes 2:9; Heb 13:15).
  • To uphold the sufficiency of scripture by loving Christ enough to be faithful to all that scripture teaches and reveals about mankind's spiritual condition, including how it can be determined, diagnosed and ultimately how mankind can be delivered from it. (2 Tim 3:16; 2 Cor 3:5). This involves being willing to trust God's assessment of the human condition before that of the supposed "experts" of society (1 Cor 1:26-31).
  • To love the people in the church by shepherding them through teaching, discipleship, admonition, exhortation, encouragement, and being hospitable. Basically we want to have a home life of integrity that provides a rich platform for effective ministry (Eph 4:12-13; 2 Tim 3:16; 1 Pet 5:2-3; Heb 13:1-2).
  • To evangelize the lost in the community by protecting the purity of the church which is the only beacon and pillar of truth in society (1 Tim 3:15, 1 Jn 3:18). We desire to spend our ministry energy on equipping and edifying believers to worship Christ, so that collectively and individually we can effectively evangelize the unbelieving world around us.

Mark Axelgard

Student Ministries

Mark Axelgard grew up in Tennessee and attended church frequently with family and friends, but it was not until his junior of high school that he came to saving faith in Jesus Christ. After high school, he attended Florida Gulf Coast University and graduated in 2010 with a degree in Philosophy and Communication. It was there that he also met Kelsey, and after serving together as friends in various ministries of GBCN they were married in March 2012. In December 2012, they moved to Jupiter, FL so Mark could begin studying at The Expositors Seminary. After three years of seminary and serving in the youth and music ministries of Grace Immanuel Bible Church, Mark and Kelsey have moved back to Naples to serve at Grace Bible Church Naples. They are the blessed parents of Piper Anne, and Penelope Lucy. Mark enjoys hunting, fishing, cooking and reading. Kelsey loves to go walking, bake, and watch Christmas movies.
